about 4 years ago me and my friend were walking around looking at garage sales before our friends birthday since it was saturday (dont judge we were bored) and we stopped by this guys housewho was selling some fire works (just a few bottle rockets etc.) but he had a yellow octogon or hexagon shaped firework we didnt read the label or anything we wish had know. we bought them all for like 5$ and left when we got to our friends house like 1 hour or 2 later my friend lit the firework right when we walked in the door and threw it in the yard (its was kinda stupid but hes pretty unpredictable haha) we hid under the window and it blew up in his front yard this firework was so loud and powerful it shook the entire house and people ran in out of there houses thinking a bomb went off. it was louder than any black cat or fire work ive ever heard and we went to a firework place that said theve never seen anything like that can anyone help?

I’m sorry but without more information there’s really no way to identify what you purchased. There are hundreds of fireworks from around with the world and many have yellow labels and an octagon/hexagon shape. Do you remember anything else about the label, were their any pictures on it? Do you have any idea what type of firework it was, a fountain, a cake?
You say your friend lit this firework and threw it… Do you know how it landed? Was it on its side, upside down?
When you say it blew up do you mean the whole firework including the case blew apart or did the firework work correctly but its effect was an explosion? Was their only one ‘explosion’?
Without further information there’s no way to identify this firework device.
